William Bernbach once said, “Word of mouth is the best medium of all.” Along the online landscape, where advertising means nothing and scams are aplenty, word of mouth may well be the only true form of evaluation. After all, would you trust a business opportunity that prided itself on large advertisements, or one that was spoken of by a dear and trusted friend?
An online business review is one of the best ways to evaluate online business opportunities these days. Based on factual information and created by unpaid sources, they are used by many people to determine what opportunity they should join. An online business review is essentially technological word of mouth and, as such, invaluable to any growing company. Read the rest of this entry »

People are starting online business every day, and most of these people are not on their first business. In fact, most online entrepreneurs go through several “opportunities” before finding one that suits their skillset and available time. Most of these opportunities are bogus, scams, or bordering on criminal, and can waste an inordinate amount of a person’s time. In order to find an online business opportunity that is legitimate and will create long-term wealth, one of the first things to do is invest in online business training.
Online business training does not mean that you need to start working toward getting your MBA. It means that you need to do the research before jumping into your next business. There are many different ways to obtain valuable online business training. Read the rest of this entry »

The economy is in a bad shape right now and it seems that everyone knows someone who has lost their job, lost their home, or has moved back in with their parents. There was a time when if you had a job, you had it for life, but those days are long gone. The average person now changes jobs almost every two years – for the rest of their life. It seems that we can’t rely on big companies for our financial security, so we need to rely on ourselves.
One sure way to building wealth is through owning your own business. But, most of us don’t have the money to open a store, start a company, buy product, or hire staff. Starting your own business is hard, there is no getting around that. If you ask people who have started their own “bricks and mortar” businesses, they will tell you stories of years of working twelve hours a day, seven days a week before they ever saw a profit. The couple who owns the corner store doesn’t have a life of their own because they are in that store 24/7!
Starting an online business is hard, but not that hard. Yes, you have to put in some long hours, and yes, you will need to deny yourself some relaxing time with the family in order to make sure your business is flourishing. However, once you have gotten your business of the ground, the hours should be less and the work should be lighter. Starting an online business is something you really need to think hard about. There is no doubt that right now the economy is in bad shape. Unemployment is at an almost all-time high and getting a job can be impossible. If you are lucky enough to already have a job, then you better not quit it, even if you have an online website business. Technology changes fast and an online website business that is thriving today may not do so well in six months.
That may seem like pretty scary news, but it is true. Many people were wiped out in the dot-com boom of the 1990s because they assumed it would go on forever. Companies who had found their niche and frittered away their money were shaken to the core when their niche completely disappeared. You don’t want that to happen to your business. Many people send months, if not years, developing an online business, only to let it sit there once it is built. If you had a bricks and mortar business, you wouldn’t just build it and hope people came in, you would actively go out and tell people all about your business, wouldn’t you? You have to do the same thing with your online business to ensure that your stream of income continues on for years to come.
One of the easiest and quickest ways to get the word out about your business is NOT to place advertising online. In fact, many people think negatively about online business that place paid advertising online. There are better ways to let people know who you are, what you sell, and why they should come to you. An online business blog is a great tool to do this. Read the rest of this entry »
